The foundation stone of the college was laid by Dr. Farooq Abdullah , the then Hon'ble chief minister of J&k state on 6th June, 2002. Since then the college has produced capable, competent and successful achievers in their field of interest.
The college faculty maintains a high tradition of inculcating human values and zeal for academic excellence in the minds of the students. They take pains for their physical, mental and intellectual development. In the globally competitive environment, the college faculty has readily taken up the challenge to engage and prepare the students for future. The focus is to give a platform of opportunities to the young adults, to accomplish and fulfill their dreams.
The college is running its curriculum under New Education Policy 2020 and offers subjects in the stream of Humanities and Science under the University of Jammu. The college is ever ready to ignite the young minds with new ideas and scientific approach in life so that the vision envisaged for its students is accomplished.
The success of our Mission for fulfilling the vision of the college rests not only on the preparedness, dedication and cohesive approach of the faculty but also on commitment and sincerity of the students towards having above 75% attendance in class and being regular for
their continuous evaluation through Internal Examination and other methodologies adopted by the concerned teachers. Moreover, I request the students to sincerely and effectively participate in all kinds of extra-curricular activities organized in the college. And to enroll as NSS volunteers of the college, so that awareness about social consciousness among the people is developed.
I extend a warm welcome to all my students with the hope that their years in the college will be fruitful and knowledgeable.
